Loudspeakers 101 for Non-technical Professionals - Dan Digre (Misco / Minneapolis Speaker Comany)

4 hours - Cost $175 (members) / $225 (non-members)

This class is designed for sales, purchasing, or general management who are non-technical, but must need to acquire more knowledge of the terminology and function of loudspeakers. Topics include the basic principles of sound, how a speaker works, the parts of a loudspeaker and their function, electrical, acoustical and specification terminology. The class will include demonstration of many of these items as well.  Each participant will receive a booklet that will include the material covered plus a more in-depth presentation of each topic.

"The ALMA Speakers 101 class was very beneficial for me as a Marketing Director. The class was highly informative, focusing on the materials and parts that make up a loudspeaker and how they effect its specifications. The class consisted of a total of 8 people from manufacturing companies who worked in the production, purchasing and marketing fields. We learned how key specs can be, what they mean exactly and why they’re important. I know and appreciate so much more about speakers now and highly recommend this class to anyone who has any involvement with speaker manufacturing."

Andrea Renz, Marketing Director - Russound
