Greetings!
Welcome to the first of our Winter Symposium
bulletins. Although January may seem like a long time
away, there is just a month to go until the
deadlines for exhibitor early bird discounts and paper
submissions, so don't delay - sign up

Preliminary Schedule
Announced
We have almost finished planning the
technical content for our symposium! Two training
courses have already been finalized (see 'training'
below), we are now accepting technical papers, our round
table topics have been selected, and preparations for
our panel discussion are underway.

Early Bird Booth Booking
Discounts
Last year's symposium was a
great success. Exhibitor feedback was positive and we
had 40% more people through the door than the previous
year. This year we have our sights set on an even bigger
goal and are launching new initiatives and marketing
activities to get more people through the door and to
your booth.
So let me just give you three reasons why you
should exhibit:
1. It is a targeted audience. Our training and
technical program attracts engineers and management
from most of the major US loudspeaker companies. If you
want to sell to these people, you should need to be
here.
2. This year, we are offering free exhibit hall
attendance on the Sunday afternoon. We will be
distributing 'free entrance' coupons (for qualified
registrants only) through our website, our members
and exhibitors. We believe this will encourage people
who are in town for CES to stop by for a couple of
hours.
3. Convenient and cost effective. The two days
immediately before the CES show is great timing as you
are likely to be travelling to Las Vegas anyway. And at
just $480 (members early bird rate) for a tabletop, its
so inexpensive you can't afford not to do it!
Book your booth by August
31st to secure the Early Bird discounted rate of $480
(for members). More Information and Exhibitor Booking

Training
Announced
We
are excited to announce that we have already lined up
two out of our three training classes for you this year.
Peter Larsen is again teaching his popular
'Practical Loudspeaker Design' class. It was so popular
last year that it was sold out, so book early to secure
your place. To continue our "Model, Measure, manufacture
theme, this year we are offering a new course in
Electroacoustic Measurement by Chris Struck. Our program
will be rounded out with a course on adhesives. Full
details of these courses will be announced in future
issues of the Symposium bulletin, and you can read more
by clicking the link below.
