Greetings!
Welcome to the second of our Winter Symposium
bulletins. The exhibitor Early bird deadline is looming
closer, so please get your bookings in soon to qualify
for the discounted rate! We also announce the first in
our series of training classes, and remind you of other
important deadlines. Remember, you can click on any of
the blue links in this email for more

In our
post-show evaluation last year we questioned attendees
on their reasons for participating in ALMA. Two of the
top three answers, accounting for almost 50% of the
responses were "Networking / meeting people" and
"Keeping up to date on new technology and learning about
new products and materials".
If you sell
to the loudspeaker industry, you can't afford to miss
this opportunity - we have a highly target audience,
half of whom are here specifically
to see what is new and meet new people!
We also keep
the cost affordable so that even small companies and
consultancies can afford a booth. At just $480 (full
members early-bird rate) for a tabletop booth, it is
inexpensive compared to other marketing events, and the
small, friendly nature of the show ensures that everyone
has time to talk to you.
The $480
show package includes a draped table and 2 chairs, a
sign with your company name and 2 exhibit hall only
staff passes which include lunch. All you need to do is
show up and put your products and literature on the
table!
The early
bird rate of $480 for members is only available until
August 31, so don't delay - sign up now. More
information is available on the ALMA web site, and a
link to the booking form is included below.

Training Course: Electroacoustic
Measurement
This year we
are excited to bring you a new training class -
Electroacoustic Measurement, taught by Christopher
Struck. The course will explain the fundamentals of
electroacoustic measurements, including principles of
acoustics, instrumentation, and data interpretation as
well as practical information on how to perform
appropriate loudspeaker tests. Since the course focuses
on the principles behind performing proper measurements,
it is applicable to both R&D and production, and it
is appropriate for both novices and people with some
test and measurement experience. Chris Struck is CEO of
his own company, CJS Labs, and prior to that held a
variety of engineering and management positions at
companies including Brüel & Kjær, Dolby Laboratories
and Tymphany Corporation.
