Greetings!
This
week's guest introduction is from Earl Geddes, Audio
Intelligence, and ALMA Education Committee
Chair:
This
coming Symposium proves to be one of the best lineup of
educational programs to date. Three classes are
being offered by well know experts in their respective
fields. Peter Larsen will once again be teaching
his "sell out" course on Practical Aspects of
Loudspeaker Design. Christopher J. Struck will be
teaching a course on Electro-acoustic
Measurements. Finally Dan Alb will be teaching a
course on Adhesives Selection and Application. One
or more of these courses should be of interest to anyone
working in the loudspeaker industry. I will be
learning more about adhesives - hope to see you
there.

Exhibitor Profile:
Psychoacoustic Solutions
First-time exhibitor
and new ALMA member Psychoacoustic Solutions is debuting
three patent pending audio technologies.
- The new
Multi-channel Differential Positional Processor can
convert multi-channels 5.1 surround sound into 2
channels so the 5.1 surround sound can be heard with a
pair of regular headphones or a pair of
speakers.
-
A Multi-channel HD
Audio Amplifier is designed for any regular headphones
and our Binaural Acoustic Wave Projector. The
combination of our projector and amplifier can produce
100 db high and low frequency sound at 3 meters
away.
-
The Binaural
Acoustic Wave Projector is a single enclosure
(16"X9"X6") that can provide HD stereo or 5.1 surround
sound image. Every spot is a "sweet spot" within the
listening environment.
All
three will be demonstrated at the show, so come along
and hear for yourself! If you are unable to attend the
show, you can hear a demo of the 5.1 surround sound via
the website (link below). Just go to the demo page and
use the password 'test1'.

your company name by sponsoring the Symposium Proceedings CD.

and are sold for $10 each. Many attendees purchase them to
instantly get copies of all the presentations. A range of

Exhibits Sold
Out!
I am delighted to announce that
all 24 exhibit booths (the maximum number we can fit in the
room) are now sold. Its several years since we have had this
many exhibitors, so we will have a much wider range of
products on show to you all. I'm also excited about the fact
that several of these are new exhibitors, some of whom
have never been to an ALMA event before. This makes for a
great show for visitors as it enables you to learn about new
companies, products and technologies as well as learn what is
new from the people that you expect to see here.

ALMA is
happy to issue invitation letters to help you get a visa to
travel to the US. Please email ALMA if you require an
invitation letter, and let us know if you would like to attend
as a visitor or exhibitor.
