ALMA, the International Loudspeaker Association, based in the US, is pleased to announce it will be hosting a Second Annual Loudspeaker Symposium in China, aiming to help close the engineering gap between Asian suppliers and Western customers. The objectives of this Symposium are:

• To introduce Asian loudspeaker manufacturers and suppliers to the benefits of membership in ALMA including how ALMA membership can make Asian products more attractive to western customers.
• To provide Asian loudspeaker manufacturers with valuable insight on "European and American Loudspeaker Design and Engineering Methods".

A keynote presentation of the same title will be presented by Mr. Patrick Turnmire, President of Redrock Acoustics.

Additionally, experts from many of the leading suppliers of engineering design and testing tools will be making presentations and showing their products. This will include presentations on non-linear modeling using the Klippel Analyzer, SpeaD / Reverse SpeaD, production testing using SoundCheck by Listen, finite element modeling of cones using Loudsoft, and others to be announced at a later time.
