Mission
ALMA educates by:
  • Identifying and developing educational programs on subjects related to loudspeakers, such as design, development, manufacturing and testing.
  • Promoting student membership.
  • Providing training and seminars to our membership.


Goals:

The ALMA Education Committee is dedicated to encouraging the entry of talented students into the field of loudspeaker design and engineering.  To fulfill these criteria the ALMA Education committee has established the following goals for 2010-2011:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with colleges and universities that have classes, programs and degrees that relate to loudspeaker design.
  2. Increase the number of students and faculty who are members of ALMA.
  3. Establish criteria for ALMA student sections within a higher education setting and establish as many student sections as possible.
  4. Conduct a student loudspeaker design competition with the final competition to be held at the ALMA Winter Symposium.
  5. Develop an education foundation.
