June 05, 2007: SoundMapTM, Listen’s New Time Frequency Analysis Software offers Waterfall Plots and More
Boston, MA. Listen announces the release of SoundMapTM, its new Time Frequency Analysis software for impulse response analysis and detection of loose particles and Rub & Buzz in loudspeakers. The software enables detailed analysis of signals simultaneously in both the time and frequency domain, and offers four different analysis options - Cumulative Spectral Decay (waterfall plots), Short Time Fourier Transforms (STFT), Wavelet, and Wigner-Ville transforms. With this selection of analysis options, SoundMap offers far more flexibility than conventional ‘waterfall plot’ software, and more accurate and psychoacoustically significant analysis capabilities. May 09, 2007: Harman International Industries Names Dinesh Paliwal As CEO, President And Vice Chairman
Washington, DC. Harman International Industries (NYSE: HAR), a leader in
the development, manufacture and marketing of audio products and automotive electronics
systems, announced today that Dinesh Paliwal has been named president, chief executive officer
(CEO) and vice chairman, effective July 1, 2007. He will join the Harman board at that time.
Paliwal, 49, is currently president, global markets and technology, and a member of the
executive committee of ABB Group (ABB: NYSE, SWX), a global technology and engineering
company with $24 billion in annual revenues and operations in more than 100 countries. ABB is

April 26, 2007: Harman International Industries To Be Acquired By KKR And GS Capital Partners
Washington, DC. Harman International Industries, Inc. (NYSE:
HAR) today announced that it has entered into an agreement to be acquired by
affiliates of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (“KKR”) and GS Capital Partners
(“GSCP”) in a transaction valued at approximately $8 billion. The transaction
was unanimously approved by the Harman Board of Directors, following the
recommendation of a Special Committee of independent directors. KKR initiated
discussions with Harman and structured the transaction so that current Harman
stockholders have the opportunity to participate in the future upside potential of
the enterprise. The company will continue to be named Harman International
Industries and Dr. Sidney Harman, Founder and Executive Chairman, will remain
