Membership Categories

To provide a worldwide loudspeaker industry forum for the exchange of technical and business information of practical value. To develop standards, practices and educational programs on practical subjects related to loudspeakers.

Full Membership                    $550.00 USD annual dues

         ·Any proprietorship, firm and/or corporation interested in the design or
          manufacture of loudspeakers, electro-acoustic transducers and similar devices,
          or the components thereof.
         ·Suppliers of materials, software and equipment allied to the loudspeaker
          industry.
         ·Any person, firm, corporation or partnership representing companies in the
          loudspeaker manufacturing industry as an authorized sales
          agent/representative of their product.



Subsidiary Membership       $225.00 USD annual dues

         ·Any company, firm, proprietorship or corporation, owned by a Full Member
          company, that presents itself to the marketplace as a separate identity or
          brand.


Educational Membership     $225.00 USD annual dues

         ·Any professor, instructor or full time staff of educational industries.

 

Individual Membership          $100.00 USD annual dues

         ·Any independent consultant, engineer or individual with an advocacy for and
          interest in the loudspeaker industry. There is no company affiliation included
          with this membership. It is for individuals only. See also the Consultant Upgrade Package.

 

Student Membership              $35.00 USD annual dues

         ·Any full-time student, not employed full-time in the audio industry, interested in
          the loudspeaker industry. Student ID required.

Consultant's Upgrade Package          $100/$150 annual fee in addition to individual membership costs

This is not strictly a class of membership, but an add-on package to individual membership which allows consulting companies consisting of just one or two people to take advantage of ALMA marketing opportunities. It is not an alternative to full membership for consultants who offer a product, or have multiple partners / employees / contractors.

The package includes:

  • Profile (up to 100 words) and link to your website in the member listing on the website (we will add a "consultants" section)
  • Inclusion in Buyer's guide under "consultants" (sub-categories to be added as appropriate)
  • Company name included on name badge at ALMA events
  • Eligible to purchase booth space at the ALMA shows at the normal member rates
  • Eligible to advertise in ALMA News at member rates

Fee: $100/year for a single consultant and $150/year for a partnership.

This is in addition to the individual membership fee. This is purely a marketing / promotional add-on package, and does not include board nomination or voting rights.

Eligibility: Consultant companies with only one or two people, who do not offer or re-sell a product (i.e. all they sell is their time). Any consultancy firm which offers a product, or has more than 2 partners/employees must join as a full member to receive promotional membership benefits. Consultant must be an individual member in good standing to purchase this promotional package. If consultancy company consists of two people, the partnership rate must be paid. Note that the eligibility critera will be strictly applied in all cases.
