China Symposium
Announcement
We are pleased to announce the dates for
our China Symposium! It will be held October 20-21 in
Shenzhen. This is in the heart of the South China
manufacturing area, and is an easily accessible location
so we hope that it will attract many loudspeaker
engineers. As in the past, we will be having a small
tabletop exhibition alongside product tutorials and
technical training.
A tabletop booth costs just $320, and
it is an excellent opportunity to get your products in
front of an audience of loudspeaker engineers as well as
to meet and network with other US and European companies
in the industry who do business in China. To increase
attendance, we will be sending invitations to key
employees in Chinese companies. If there is someone you
would like to see at the show, forward me their name and
email address so that I can invite
them!

Winter Symposium
Announcement
Our 2008 Winter
Symposium, "Model, Measure, Manufacture - a practical
guide to product development" will be held Jan 5-6 (just
before CES) at the Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas. It will
include training classes, technical papers, product
tutorials and of course our exhibition showcasing suppliers to the
industry. Planning for the training classes is
underway, and we invite you to submit technical papers
(see call for papers below). Exhibitor booking is also
now open! Booth positions
will be allocated in the order that application forms
are received, so don't delay - sign up now to get a good
location. Booths start from as little as $480 if you
book by August 31st. The 2007 Symposium had
40% more attendees than 2006, and we have many
plans in place to ensure an even better turnout in 2008,
so we're sure you'll find it worthwhile.

Technical Article - Dynamically
Programmable ASP
Digital Signal Processing provides a variety of
tools to the loudspeaker designer but proper
implementation is often unpredictably lengthy and
costly. However,
what if there was an analog-based alternative to DSP
that possessed many of the same capabilities at a lower
cost while offering ease of use and faster time to
market?
Anadigm's dpASP provides the engineer with just
that. Read
on for further details of Anadigm's programmable analog
signal processing technology.

Ask Andy
Our resident patent and Trademark expert,
Andrew McKinney answers your
questions.
Q: Andy, We
have received a letter from the United States Trademark
Center (see above) through the mail. Is it a scam to
extort money from us, or is it the result of something
you have done? I suspect the former, but wanted to
check with you first. Please
advise.
