Plans are underway for the 2007 Winter Symposium, and in this special
bulletin we announce our "Call for Papers" - your opportunity to address
the leaders and significant players in the Loudspeaker industry at our
annual symposium just before the CES show in Las Vegas. We also include a
link to the exhibitor registration form, and hotel booking information.

We invite you to submit paper abstracts for presentation at our 2007
Winter Symposium which will take place on Jan 6-7 in Las Vegas. The
deadline for submission is Oct 15, 2006, and presenters will be notified
by Oct 21, 2006. The theme for this year's symposium is “Maintaining
Quality from Design & Development through Production”. We are seeking
paper presentations on any aspect of loudspeaker quality, from design to
manufacturing and test.
Abstracts must include
- a suggested title
- an abstract/summary consisting of a description of 75 words or less
suitable for reprinting in pre-symposium promotional literature
- three (3) specific objectives of the presentation
- the name, address, phone number and a short biography of the
presenter(s)
- any special equipment needed
- presenter must be able to supply copies of presentation in
electronic format for inclusion on the ALMA web site

Reserve Your Booth Space |

Its time to reserve your booth space at the 2007 ALMA Winter Symposium.
We are having a similar set up as in previous years, with 8' x 10'
tabletop booths around the room. The early booking price of just $480 for
members and $980 for non-mambers is only available until Oct 1 (after that
the rate is $600 for members and $1100 for non- members). Spaces are being
allocated in the order in which they are received so don't delay - send in
your completed application today.

Las Vegas Hotel Rooms |

To reserve a room at the Orleans Hotel, please call 1800 675 3267
(Mon-Fri 7.00am-11.00pm, Sat-Sun 9.00am-5.00pm PST). Identify yourself as
an attendee of the ALMA Symposium in order to receive the special group
rate of $100 on Jan 5, $120 on Jan 6, and $80 on Jan 7. You will be
required to pay a deposit of first nights room and tax at time of booking.
All rooms must be booked by Dec 5, 2006 to secure the ALMA rate.
Cancellations incur no fee up to 72 hours before arrival. Within 72 hours
of arrival, the first night deposit is forfeited. The Orleans hotel
features a spa, fitness center, business center, 14 bars and restaurants,
a bowling alley, and of course a casino.
