  • Greetings!

This is our final pre-show newsletter, so if you have made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read these important bulletins. I hope to meet many of you at the Symposium. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Winter Symposium Committee – Laurie Crook, Steve Tatarunis and Dan Digre, as well as the ALMA President, Stu Lumsden for all their hard work in organizing this event. We hope that all the efforts that have gone into the preparations will result in a productive and fruitful couple of days for all exhibitors and attendees. See you in Vegas!
    Zarina Bhimani, ALMA Executive Director.

    Registration

As it draws closer to the symposium, I need to finalize catering numbers with the hotel, so if you plan to attend but have not yet submitted an attendee registration form, please click on the link below to download the form, fill it out and fax it back to ALMA by 12.00 EST on Weds Jan 03. Registration confirmations have now been sent out, so if you did not receive one but have already submitted a form, please call ALMA at 617-314-6977 to confirm that we have you listed.

    Tutorial - Anadigm
    Anadigm

Simon Dickinson, COO of Anadigm will present Anadigm's SonicMaster family - an advanced subwoofer signal processing module solution for quickly upgrading existing subwoofer plate amplifier designs with an enhanced feature set that allows for state-of-the art subwoofers with minimal cost and negligible product development. Anadigm's audio dpASP (dynamically programmable Analog Signal Processor) embedded into SonicMaster provides a programmable platform for your subwoofer signal conditioning enabling equalization, band-pass filtering and amplifier clipping and woofer bottoming limiter protection to an active subwoofer design. Such a platform also enables audiophile class- "all analog" AutoEQ processing. The SonicMaster family is preprogrammed, allowing for an out of the box solution that is very cost effective compared to digital DSP solutions and much more flexible then discrete analog.

We still have a limited number of spaces left for the Members Dinner at Yolie’s Brazilian Steakhouse – fill out the attendee registration form or call the ALMA office at 617-314-6977 to reserve a space. With Yolie’s fantastic selection of Brazilian-style steak and meats, and generous wine sponsorships from K&K International, Menlo East, York Lake Partners and MISCO, it promises to be an evening of good food and drink, fun and friends.

    Job Noticeboard

We will have a job postings board in the exhibit hall at the Symposium. This may be used free of charge by Symposium attendees and any ALMA members. Use it for advertising vacant positions in your company if you are recruiting, or posting your resume or business card if you are looking for a job. Please note that although individual ALMA members may post resumes, only full ALMA member companies may post positions available. If you will not be attending the show but would like a position or resume posted, please email it to me.

    ALMA Recruitment

ALMA will have a booth in the North Hall at the CES show from Jan 8-11. We will be handing out membership flyers and talking to people about the organization. If you will be at the CES and can spare a couple of hours to help staff the booth, please let me know either by email, phone or at the symposium.

    And Finally...

I will be heading out to Las Vegas on 4th January, so the ALMA office will not be staffed from 5pm this Thursday until next Wednesday morning. If you have any questions during this time, you can either leave a voicemail as I will be checking messages regularly, or if you need an immediate response, please call my cell phone 617-501-6297.
