Greetings!
Welcome to the first of our Asia Symposium
bulletins. We are planning early this year as we know
many of you travel to China several times a year anyway,
and this advance notice will enable you to plan your
trip to co-incide with our event. We have selected the
dates for ALMA Asia to be the weekend immediately after
the Hong Kong Electronics Fair to
save an additional trip for those who will be in the
area anyway.
With just 4 months to go, now is the time to
make your booth booking, and plan your
trip! |

Making it
Easy
Exhibiting in China is a
challenge for many Western companies. Without knowing
the language, or where you are going, it can be a
daunting prospect. We make it simpler for you. We have already
negotiated good hotel rates for you, and you should have
no problems speaking English when making a booking at
the hotel. Closer to the time, we will supply you with
detailed directions and travel advice on how to get to
the venue. For now, we can advise you that the best
airports to fly into are Hong Kong (HKG) and Shenzhen
(SZX).
Those traveling from Europe or the USA will probably
find it easiest to fly into Hong Kong. There is a
direct ferry transfer from the airport to Shekou,
and the
NanHai hotel is literally less than 5 minutes walk from
the customs exit at the SheKou Ferry Port.

Schedule
We will be following the format that we
introduced last year, with day 1 including keynote and
commercial presentations, and day 2 including more
in-depth training on issues as diverse as manufacturing,
test, modeling, and design. The exhibits will run
alongside both days. Attendees may attend either one, or
both days. A full schedule will be announced
shortly.
